Here's what's involved in a GRP roof.
How GRP works
Resin is applied to the deck, fibreglass matting is laid into it, and more resin is worked through. Once cured, a topcoat seals and protects the surface.
Why the deck is critical
GRP needs a dry, solid deck. We replace old or damaged boards so the roof bonds properly.
Trims and detailing
Pre-formed edge trims, drip trims and upstands are fitted and glassed in, which is how GRP roofs stay watertight at the perimeter.
GRP vs rubber vs felt
Fibreglass and rubber both carry our 15-year guarantee; felt carries 10 years. GRP is a strong choice for detailed or walked-on roofs.
Outlets, rooflights and upstands
